Friends forever

Artur and I always say that a place is special for the people we find there, because although we are in that place as well, and it really is up to our own positive or negative vibes that we give off at that moment in time to fully enjoy it, the people we've met along the way have made us fall in love with each place we visited.

Those new friends we've made have become forever friends to us. Just like our son Beni told our guide when we were in Toraja, 'forever friend,' he named him that and that name stuck as the way we called him. Because it really doesn't matter if we saw each other often or not, if we've recently met and became new friends or if we've met ages ago, those who you meet and you immediately 'click' with are the ones we call 'forever friends.'

When we were in Thailand we bored out of our minds, the rain wouldn't let up and the kids and I got sick. The building where we were staying had a pool and a common area with a play area, that's where we met David, Oli and Jakob; but as soon as we met it started to rain and we each headed our own way. That same afternoon we were so tired of being cooped up in the apartment that we went downstairs again to that same common area and again, we saw David, Oli and Jakob and this time Janka their mom was there too, and we instantly became friends. We happily talked nonstop and we ended up going everywhere together, they told us we'd be welcomed to visit them in Bratislava, Slovakia whenever we'd like. We parted ways and said our goodbyes thinking we'd probably never see each other again.

But guess what? guess where we're now? We're in Bratislava, Slovakia, we're staying with these good friends. They welcomed us into our home with the warmest of welcomes and such loving hospitality! We're so happy to be here. We never thought we'd be visiting Bratislava, yet, the magic of the universe brought us together again.
